Your Questions, Answered.
SONATA combines deep testing with real doctors who know your biology and stay with you over time. Most companies give you one or the other. Testing services hand you data with no one to interpret it. Traditional care has the doctors, but the system isn't built to go deep enough for truly personalized prevention. This kind of depth has usually only existed at luxury prices. SONATA makes it available without them.
- Whole genome sequencing
- DNA methylation analysis to measure how your body is aging
- 140+ blood biomarkers, including hormones and lipids, tracked over time
- Clinical AI that helps your care team interpret results in the context of your genetics, history, and risk, rather than relying on generic reference ranges
- A personalized plan built around what will make the biggest difference for your health
- Unlimited, ongoing access to your care team
- Members in New York also have access to DEXA and metabolic testing
Learn What We Test
SONATA is a preventive healthcare membership built around an ongoing relationship with your care team. For many members, that becomes their main preventive care relationship. Others keep seeing their current doctor or specialists and use SONATA alongside them. Both work. SONATA does not provide emergency or urgent care.
If you see a specialist or another provider, your care team can access those visit records through health information exchanges, so your full picture stays in one place. Your care with SONATA flows back through the same networks, so your other providers can see it too. Your care team can also help arrange referrals when you need to see someone. You are not the one chasing down records or repeating your history.
It starts at home or at work. We come to you for a blood draw. Because the testing is clinical-grade and includes whole genome sequencing, results take about three to four weeks. Along the way, we set up a welcome call to get to know you and your goals. What we learn there feeds into your plan.
When your results are ready, your care team reviews everything and builds your plan around what will make the biggest difference for your health. From there, you have unlimited access to your care team throughout the year.
As often as you want. SONATA is built around an ongoing relationship, not a once-a-year visit. Your care team is there throughout the year for follow-ups, questions, and check-ins as your health changes.
Yes. SONATA physicians are licensed to prescribe medications when it is clinically appropriate, from everyday prescriptions to hormone therapy to GLP-1s. Every prescribing decision is a clinical one, made by your physician based on your health, your testing, and what is right for you.
Yes. Your health information is protected under HIPAA and secured on infrastructure we built for it, with encryption and strict access controls at every layer. We never sell your data or use it for advertising. We encrypt all data at rest and in transit, enforce least-privilege access controls, and maintain full audit logs in line with HIPAA best practices.
Founding membership is $2,500 a year. It covers your whole genome sequencing, methylation testing, 140+ biomarkers, and unlimited access to your care team. Some advanced testing is available for an added cost.
Not today. Insurance covers a limited set of tests and short visits, which is not the kind of care we provide. Practicing outside of it is what lets us go deep enough for real personalized prevention. That may change as we grow. For now, you can use HSA or FSA funds toward membership.
Many members use HSA or FSA funds for their membership, and you can pay with your HSA or FSA card at checkout. Eligibility depends on your plan, so it is worth checking with your administrator. We can provide an itemized invoice to make that easier.
When your care team recommends a supplement, you can order it through SONATA. We partner with Thorne and pass along a member price close to wholesale. We only recommend supplements your plan calls for, so you are never paying for things you do not need.
SONATA is available in New York, San Francisco, and Los Angeles, with more cities coming.
Membership is annual. You can cancel anytime, and it simply will not renew for the next year.
